Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its processing.

Messages

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to respond. We do not share a message outside the organization unless the law requires it.

Information Collected Automatically

Standard technical records may be created when a page loads. They can include:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • The referring site, when available
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies

Cookies may help measure how visitors use the Taylor County pages. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected data may support the following functions:

  • Operating the site and maintaining reasonable performance
  • Sending a search request to the selected partner
  • Understanding which pages readers use
  • Finding errors and resolving technical faults
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

Other Websites and Advertising

Links may lead to Taylor County records, sheriff and corrections pages, Georgia government portals, federal locators, and outside search services. Once a reader leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Georgia public records are governed by the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70 et seq., but that law does not replace a linked site's own privacy terms.

Some advertising companies may measure activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs through their systems, not through an official Taylor County record system.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still be processed by:

  • Search partners that handle submitted queries
  • Analytics providers
  • Advertising networks
  • Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Reasonable Security Measures

We use ordinary safeguards suited to a public website. No internet system is completely secure, and we cannot promise that transmission or storage will always be free from unauthorized access.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and the limits of the data we hold, a person may:

  • Ask for a copy of personal data held by us
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing

These choices apply to data controlled here. Requests concerning a sheriff, GDC, court, VINE, or search partner must go to that separate organization.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as services or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
